The Predatory Bird Research Group uses nest cameras to help monitor peregrine falcon nesting progress at several sites in the Greater Bay Area. Some of them are live streaming and public facing which allow everyone to watch along as the falcons raise their family. Nest cams are powerful tools for K-12 education and coalition building around raptor conservation. Here we highlight recommended nest cameras from our area, some of which we help to install and manage, others are run by our collaborators at UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and National Parks Service. Nesting activity usually takes place on the webcams from January-June, after which the young leave the nest and the family spends less time on camera.
